Why I built this.
I was hiding in plain sight.
Running a business. Telling other women's stories. Celebrating their courage, their reinvention, their beauty — all while quietly falling apart inside. I was good at it. Nobody knew.
It took a flight to Milan and a photographer who wouldn't let me disappear behind the lens to crack me open again. Not because the photos were magic. But because being seen — really seen — reminded me who I was.
Before I even got the images back, I was myself again.
That's the moment I stopped pretending this work was just a business. It's a mission. Because I know what it costs a woman to keep showing up for everyone else while making herself invisible. And I know what it feels like when someone finally turns the camera on you and says — you. Your story. Right now. It matters.
That's Legends.
I built it for the woman who has given everything and documented none of it. The one who has pivoted, rebuilt, and risen — and still doesn't fully believe how remarkable that is.

Why/
A year before Covid our oldest (14 at the time) was really struggling, as my husband seemed to know exactly how to support her, I fell into the a dark, sludgy depression. Unable to support her, or find joy in all the things that usually thrilled me, I dove into my business and the women’s stories, all while hiding my own.
As the darkness in my head started to clear and travel became available again, I booked a workshop to the place where I had first learned who I was. Milan, Italy.
While I was at it, I convinced my favorite photographer, Kara Marie Trombetta, to come out of her sabbatical and let me book a shoot with her.
This was the reset I didn’t know I needed. Within weeks of that shoot and before even seeing the pictures, I felt like myself again. Enjoying things I had ignored or seen dull- and it was like the world was in color again. Ironically, I fell in love with black and white photography.
I knew every woman had to experience something like this. Whether they had struggled or done something extraordinary.
And I wanted to tell their story.
