Valentina Portraiture is a boutique headshot studio in Austin, Texas, and we exist for one reason: to make sure your first impression is actually working for you.
Most headshots are taken in ten minutes. You stand in front of a backdrop, someone says "chin down," and you leave hoping one of them works. Usually you end up with a photo you tolerate rather than one you're proud to send.
Very few people know how to be photographed, and nobody should have to. What makes a headshot work is everything around the click: how your hair and makeup read on camera, which outfit carries the right level of authority, how to hold your shoulders so you look confident instead of stiff, and the expression that reads as approachable and capable at the same time.
That's what this session is built around. You're styled, prepared, and directed through every frame, so the image you walk away with looks like you on your best professional day.
THE EXPERIENCE
What to expect
Once your application is accepted, you'll receive our prep guide covering what to wear, what to bring, and how to arrive ready. You won't be left guessing.
Before
You'll settle in at the studio for hair and makeup. Then we'll work through your outfits together, and I'll direct every pose, angle, and expression. Most clients expect to feel awkward. It usually turns into a conversation within minutes.
During
Before you leave, we'll review your images together and choose your two favorites. You'll know exactly what you're getting before you walk out the door.
Right After
Your professionally retouched images arrive, ready to upload wherever you need them.

Valentina Portraiture is a small boutique studio in Lakeway. Every session is photographed and directed by Valentina herself. There's no rotating team and no preset lighting setup that makes everyone look the same.
My background is in fashion design and marketing, and it shapes how I work. I think about how an image will be used, what it says about you before anyone reads your bio, and how to get a natural expression from someone who doesn't love the camera.
I take a limited number of sessions each month, so your appointment is never rushed or stacked back to back with the next client's.
